Primera Generación (First Generation) is a multimedia project revolving around two immigrant families living in the US. The project touches on biculturalism, home, history assimilation, vulnerability, family dynamic, politics, and the construct of the “American Dream.” The project questions the viewers understanding of what immigration looks like and the sacrifices that have been made to better themselves, but most importantly their children.
